Preparing for fall and winter in the Northwest means gearing up for wet weather.
① Check your Drainage - inspect the ground where it meets the foundation.
② Clean Gutters - remember dry gutters are easier to clean than wet gutters.
③ Have your furnace checked and tuned up.
④ Assess and combat moss build up on the roof.
⑤ Check the weather stripping and caulk on doors and windows.
⑥ Disconnect hoses and winterize your lawn irrigation system.
Spending a weekend or two on maintenance can prevent expensive repairs and alert you to developing problems before they become serious.
